Happy New Year Recipe for Good Luck
I grew up with a southern tradition where we have a “good luck” dinner (which some people call it lunch) on January 1st. We always have fried cornbread, corn beef, soup beans, cabbage and collard greens.
Over the past few years, I’ve made a delicious soup that incorporates cabbage with corn beef and everyone loves it!
I hope you give it a try. It’s super easy to make and we need all the luck we can get, y’all!
You can throw all the ingredients into a crock pot, grab your NEWLY released copy of SPOONFUL OF MURDER while it cooks and that would make a wonderful January 1st!

Happy release day for Spoonful of Murder!!
Your favorite holiday traditions are back in this one! The Pawrade, where the furry friends dress up and strut their stuff during the Holiday Festival that takes place in Central Park.
There’s an addition to the festival this year and Aunt Maxi is in charge! She’s hosting a progressive supper where all the proceeds go to Pet Palace, Honey Springs’ SPCA.
She only asked a few people to participate and LOW-retta wasn’t one of them!
You know Loretta Bebe, she’s not going to sit around and just be a participant. NO WAY…
Loretta is going to get her hands all up in it and let me tell you how Aunt Maxi throws a giant sized hissy fit with a tail on it, well, I guess you’ll just have to read that part.
Oh and yeah. There’s a murder. Loretta and Maxi are Sheriff Spencer’s prime suspects. Will Roxy be able to bring them together to help them get home in time for Christmas???
