A Festival, A Lost Journal, and…Murder? Cozy Up with Autumns, Awnings, & Arson ️

Whoooo hooooo!!! Happy happy happy release day!!!

Whooooohooooo!!

Y’all are going to LOVE Autumns, Awnings, & Arson. Remember you do not have to read all the books in order. They are considered a series because of the same characters and setting but each murder mystery is wrapped up in each book.

This one!! Facts: did you know Daniel Boone really didn’t wear a coonskin hat?

Also historians all over have tried to find any document written by Daniel Boone and believed he never kept a diary. That is not true.

Actually Daniel Boone did keep a journal and gave it to his nephew. His nephew had a canoe accident and the journal was with him. The journal fell in and it was never seen again.

UNTIL…Autumns, Awnings, & Arson was written. I had to resurrect that idea! What if a historian found the journal? And he stated it was going to change the history of the Daniel Boone legacy in Kentucky? What if that historian turned up dead before he was able to do his presentation at the Daniel Boone Festival??

Hahhahaa. My mind scares me sometimes.

Last year was the real 75th anniversary of the Daniel Boone Festival in Kentucky. Every year they also sign the Cane Treaty.

The Cane Treaty is an agreement between the Eastern Band of the Cherokee Nation and the citizens of Barbourville, Kentucky to provide cane to the Cherokee in exchange for their participation in the annual Daniel Boone Festival.

It’s truly amazing to see. Of course that also found it’s way into this book too.

As you can see, I’ve had so much fun researching and twisting history. I truly hope you grab this one.

Also the cover! Amazing and perfect for this time of the year in the Daniel Boone. As you can see below the photo with my coffee mug is right in the middle of the forest and you can see the foliage matches the cover.

Here is a live video I did while driving through the forest.

Woman’s World “Best”Cozy Mystery

I’m so very excited Woman’s World Magazine has picked Halloween Homicide at a top spooky cozy mystery book to curl up to.

It’s a wonderful book in the Holiday Cozy Mystery Series that follows journalist Violet Rhinehammer.

She is originally from the Camper and Criminals Cozy Mystery Series but worried me to death to get her own series.

All of the books in the Holiday Cozy Mystery Series can be read as stand alone mysteries because each mystery is wrapped up in each book. The only thing that makes them a series is the same cast of characters as well as the same cozy town that we all love to have in our cozy mystery books. You can check out the other 7 cozies they suggested here.

Autumns, Awnings, & Arson: Chapter One

Shooooweeee!! I love this book so much! I hope that y’all enjoy this fun reading of Chapter One.

Autumns, Awnings, & Arson

Welcome to Normal, Kentucky, where the only thing bigger than the Daniel Boone Festival is the mystery that’s set the town ablaze!

As autumn leaves fall and the smell of campfire drifts through the air, Mae West is ready to cozy up to the Daniel Boone Festival, the highlight of Normal, Kentucky. But when a fire at the Frontier Village turns into a blazing whodunit, Mae’s relaxing plans go up in smoke.

Dr. Everett Hamilton, a celebrated historian, is found toastier than a s’more at the annual festival. Worse yet, the flames were no accident—Dr. Hamilton was as dead as a doornail before the fire even started. When another body drops hotter than a cast-iron skillet, Mae realizes there’s more to this festival than meets the eye.

With her trusty sidekicks—Dottie, Queenie, Betts, and Abby (the Laundry Club Ladies)—by her side, Mae trades in her festival fun for some down-home sleuthing. From suspicious historians to smoldering affairs, the suspects are as thick as campfire smoke, and it’s going to take more than Mae’s Southern charm to put out this fire.

Can Mae catch the culprit before the whole festival goes up in flames, or will this mystery be her final campground cookout?

“Autumns, Awnings, & Arson” is a sizzling Southern mystery full of camping chaos, down-home humor, and a heroine who won’t quit until she’s put the lid on this case. Grab your tent and marshmallows—things are about to get heated in Normal, Kentucky!”- ARC review Tisha

It’s release day for Columbus Day Conundrum

I have really enjoyed writing this crossover from my popular Camper & Criminals Cozy Mystery where Violet Rhinehammer finally got her own series.

She wore me out day and night, even writing my other series. How rude! But she was right. Violet was too big to be a secondary character and I have to say she’s been a lot of fun not only to write, but also watch her grow into her own.

I love writing cozy mysteries set in the holidays and that is how I came up with the idea of making Violet’s series set in a holiday season. Which is how I got the series name: Holiday Cozy Mystery.
I can’t even tell you how many times I have chuckled over the tagline of the series: Celebrate Good Crimes. It is fitting.

I hope you give this fun series a chance. I know I have had a blast writing them.
Happy holidays!

Here is what some of your friends are saying about Columbus Day Conundrum.

★★★★★ I highly recommend this mystery, and the others in this series, to those who enjoy well-written cozy mysteries with a Southern flair and festivals for every holiday. Each is written as a standalone so they don’t have to be read in order.- Amazon Review Jeanie
★★★★★ You can never go wrong with this series. The mystery is always well-written and will keep you guessing until the end. The characters are some of my favorite in any series. I feel like I know them personally. Finally, Holiday Junction is a wonderful place to imagine living where you can have your picture made with the mayor while she is decked out in her finest red and blue collar. Yes, I said collar because the mayor is a Boston terrier. The Queen of Cozy has given us another winner, especially if you enjoy a light-hearted mystery that will challenge you as you try and solve the mystery.- Amazon Review Tammy L.
★★★★★ This book’s vivid descriptions will make you feel as if you’re watching a movie, immersing you in the story from the first page to the last. It’s a solid mystery and a fun time with Violet! Can’t wait for her next big story! I’m a big fan! – Amazon Review T. Carter

★★★★★. A twisty, turning mystery full of plenty of suspects. Along with all the excitement, Violet finds an apartment to rent and has to tell her mother she is moving out. You know that won’t end well. Another great story in Holiday Junction.- Goodreads Review Dwayne
