Man, we sure could use some good luck right?
I grew up with a southern tradition where we have a “good luck” dinner (which some people call it lunch) on January 1st. We always have fried cornbread, corn beef, soup beans, cabbage and collard greens.
Over the past few years, I’ve made a delicious soup that incorporates cabbage with corn beef and everyone loves it!
I hope you give it a try. It’s super easy to make and we need all the luck we can get, y’all!
You can throw all the ingredients into a crock pot, grab your NEWLY released copy of ROPES, RIDDLES, & ROBBERIES while it cooks and that would make a wonderful January 1st!
Happy sleuthing!

Thank you for the new January (every year) corn beef & cabbage stew recipe. We here in the south have always had black-eyed peas on New Year’s Day. This year we had honey baked ham, tater tots and cornbread muffins with our peas. YUMMM! We are fortunate to be able to eat what we want and ask God’s blessings on ALL for the upcoming year!
