Strung Out To Die was the first book of mine to hit the USA Today Bestseller list. It also won the National Indie Book Award. I just loved the pig, Willow. She makes a great cozy mystery pet. Plus there’s a beading bracelet pattern in the back of the book.
Did you know that I owned a lapidary myself? I did! It was called Bead-Nicks and it was so much fun. I ended up selling the business after a few years because I was already working as the director of a private school and writing. Something had to give.
What did I do? I wrote a book about a lapidary and solved both my passions.
