Happy release day for Wildlife, Warrants, & Weapons!
Southern Hospitality with a Smidgen of Homicide
It creams my corn to think I’ve been accused of murder.
I’m a handyman in the Daniel Boone National Park. My main employer is Mae West at the Happy Trails Campground.
When I got a phone call to take down some trees on this guy’s property for a side hustle, I jumped at the chance. That’s one of the biggest money making jobs around these parts.
Unfortunately I got hauled off to jail after I was accused of being part of an illegal logging crew. Simple enough, I gave Sheriff Hank Sharp the name of the man who hired me, only he was found murdered by one of my tools.
Not only am I accused of illegal logging, now I’m the number one suspect in this man’s murder.
It just creams my corn to be accused of murder.
There’s only one person I trust to get me out of this mess and that’s Maybelline West.
I’m sure she, along with her nosy friends, the Laundry Club Ladies, will snoop around to help clear my name.
Part of being in business as an author, there are so many things to consider when looking at covers.
In the past, I’ve shown y’all how some of my covers are actually hand drawn by the artist before they turn it into the illustration, but in this case, my cover artist and I had a couple of different ideas for SCENE OF THE GRIND, the first book in the KILLER COFFEE SERIES.
I really did like the red one, but I felt like the book one needed to be the cute boardwalk. I use the setting as a character in my mysteries. That is why I had decided upon the boardwalk cover. I still love the red one, so maybe I can use it in one of the upcoming books.
SPOONFUL OF MURDER is the Christmas book for this year. It was hard for me to choose on this one because I LOVE THAT RED, but the blue toned went so well with Pepper, the dog, that I just had to pick it.
What are y’all’s thoughts on this? I’d love to know!!!
A couple of weekends ago Eddy and I took shamper camper.
We decided to get a campsite on lake which is about an hour and twenty minutes away from home.
I knew I wanted to take some time that weekend to make some recipes over the campfire for the upcoming books. It was a perfect weekend to make chili and I ended using my cast iron skillet over the fire for it too! I’ve attached a photo of the recipe and the link will take you to the recipe to download as well.
The recipe I have can be used for over the fire or stove top. I hope you enjoy this exclusive recipe that’s in the EGGNOGS, EXTORTION, & EVERGREENS!
And let me know if you make it! A picture would be even better!! Happy Wednesday!
